We had the large "Suite Gallery" with separate bedroom + sofabed in living room. This suite is a real gem when travelling with kids or friends as you will not find two separate rooms for this price in Manhattan (divided by a door). Access to the bathroom via the sleeping room. Bed and sofabed are very comfortable. Free water (room), coffee & tea. We could open 3 windows. The location is 5***** perfect to explore Manhattan from Battery- to Central-Park by walking, subway or ferry. Even though many (or even all depending on your condition) sites of interest are within walking distance, the neighbourhood is more local than touristy and therefore the restaurants are nice as well. Try breakfast at "Townhouse Diner" and real italian food at "Villa Berulia". Don't miss very irish "Peter Dillon's Pub" next door (beer just 6$). Large supermarkets around the corner. Walk to Grand Central 5 minutes. Walk to ferry stop at 34. St. in 12 minutes. Direct bus to EWR is 1 block away at 41. St. between Park Av. & Lexington Av.

I loved my stay at the Renwick! I am so pleased I chose this unique, historic hotel rather than one of the larger well known, generic hotels. We were warmly greeted (shout out to Pete who acknowledged my birthday) and, generously, shown to our room before the official check-in time - much appreciated as we'd just flown in from London. I loved the art-deco decoration theme and the suite (somewhere to sit and relax) was much appreciated after a day of exploring Manhattan. I enjoyed the nod to an author in the room and unique little decorating touches. Such a comfy bed too! Free coffee in the morning was much appreciated. The location is fantastic - Grand Central a few minutes walk away and Times Square just a little further. Restaurants and bars in abundance.

The room was great, very spacious room, particularly for New York. Really comfortable & large bed. Separate long mirror in room for getting ready. Shower was always hot & good pressure. Room was clean & cleaned daily & fresh towels. Liked having face-cloth. Nice and plentiful toiletries like Shower gel. Long mirror in room, useful for getting ready. And liked having cloak hanger for coats etc. Radio was plus. Easy to regulate temperature in room & could open window in room & shower room which is plus. Quiet location, no major noise from outside. Staff friendly & helpful, ordered taxis, allowed us leave luggage in storage etc. Great location, approx 2 mins walk to Grand Central Station & just off 5th Avenue! Not too busy or noisy either.

Good size room/suite with view of Empire State Building and a mix of old and new. Location very good for Grand Central Station, ten minute walk to 5th Avenue for bus stop north to Central Park and Museum mile. Three minutes walk to Madison Avenue when bus drops off on return leg. Liked the history of the building. Good coffee machine, fridge, lounge area with sofa and a nice touch to have a writing desk. No noise from other guests, only the lift. The water bottles very useful for taking out and about.

First time at the Renwick and we will definitely be back. Perfectly located for mid town adventures and metro at 3 mins walking. Not fancy nor posh but clean trendy and cool enough for a long stay of 11 days. Service every day, fresh towels and a coffee machine with Lavazza coffee (the real one).
